Reimagining education for the next generations.
Skills-based curriculum that turns real-world issues into rigorous, engaging learning experiences — growing students who love to learn, and who love the world they’re learning about.
— made by educators, for educators
An education company built by educators.
Beyond the Brains is an education company, founded and led by educators. We believe every child is born with a natural love of learning — and that curriculum should protect it. So we create skills-based curriculum and resources that turn real-world issues into rigorous, engaging learning, across every subject.
Our first branch, Beyond Science, is led by our founder, Jazmine Caldera — a Title I high school science educator and department chair in South Los Angeles whose honors include the Rigorous and Authentic PBL Award and Community Teacher of the Year.
Jazmine Caldera, FounderHow we educate
We are educators, and everything we make is built on the same beliefs about how students actually learn — deeply, curiously, and for real.
Curiosity Before Compliance
Students learn best when they’re genuinely curious. We design for wonder first, worksheets second.
Depth Before Breadth
Fewer topics, deeper understanding. Mastery over memorization, always.
Holism Over Reductionism
Real problems don’t respect subject boundaries. Neither do our resources.
Character Alongside Knowledge
SEL, ethics, and emotional intelligence woven into the learning, not bolted on.
Future Before Tradition
AI, global challenges, and the world students will actually inherit.
Equity Over Equality
Culturally responsive, accessible design for all learners.
Under one umbrella
Beyond the Brains is one education company with one mission: learning that prepares students for the world they will actually inherit. Every branch grows from the same root — and Beyond Science is where we grow first.

Have you heard of S.E.E.D.?
S.E.E.D. is our framework for evaluating solutions the way scientists do — a protocol educators can use with any science topic and any real-world issue. Students state the problem, examine the evidence, evaluate feasibility, and determine a recommendation they can defend.
State the Problem
Name the environmental problem the solution is meant to address.
Examine the Evidence
Analyze the scientific briefing: data, costs, limitations, tradeoffs.
Evaluate Feasibility
Score the solution on cost, technology, scalability, and root-cause fit.
Determine a Recommendation
Build a final recommendation in Claim-Evidence-Reasoning form — and defend it.
